If you believe that everyone has a purpose, then it can seem impossible to believe that any of us can live a fully happy life without pursuing our own purpose. It's like going on a bike race and never using your top gear. 

How can any of us know what true happiness is if we are pursuing someone else's dream—or worse, no dream at all? As it's said, interest yourself not in the pursuit of happiness, but in the happiness of pursuit. To do that, we each must choose our authentic path every day and every moment. Unfortunately, doing so can be strikingly difficult at times.
